The Season of Advent starts on December 1 this year. It is a four-week adventure told through stories found in scripture.
Our Series for this year’s Christmas Season is titled Connected. We’re basing our series, in part, on Pastor Dawn Darwin Weaks’s book of Advent devotions, Daring to Connect. Each day, Pastor Dawn shares a short reflection based on stories from her congregation.
Connections are a big part of Christmas as we look for special gifts for friends and family. Many of us connect with some we don’t see or talk to regularly.
Christmas is also a good time to renew our connection with God. Something about the season reminds us of God’s presence in the world—God is everywhere, even when we don’t feel it.
During our Sunday message each week, we’ll dive deeper into the scripture Pastor Dawn chose for lighting an Advent Candle to honor each week of Advent.
